Autumn 1 - Week 5

This week in Class 5 we having been learning multiplication by 2 digit and 3 digit numbers, using the column method. During our English lessons, we have been studying a new book - The Origins of Species by Sabena Radeva. This book is a picture book version of Charles Darwin’s famous findings.

In art, we have been learning to use two point perspective; we started off drawing simple shapes with two vanishing points. In our RE lesson, we have been investigating the theory of cosmology and how the universe began; we have been discussing our findings and comparing these to the story of creation. We learnt that different animals adapt to live in their environments in our science lesson this week and that’s why we have variations of some species.
