Class 1 autumn 1 Week 2 and 3
Welcome to our preschool children who have settled really well this week. The children have really enjoyed learning about themselves, their families and other families, as well as talking about different feelings.
They have had a go at some super tuff tray activities.
The preschool children have been focusing on environmental noises while reception learn the phonemes m,d and g.
In maths, the children have been focusing on matching colours, numbers and shapes as well as matching by association E.g knife and fork, envelop and stamp.
In PSED we did a fantastic experiment showing the children how germs spread and make us poorly.
We practised washing our hands really well.
It was lovely to see parents at our phonics and maths workshops. Please get in touch with school if you missed these and would like me to go through some of the key learning points with you. This will help you to support your child at home.
We look forward to learning about different homes next week in England and around the world.
We will continue to talk about our families and look at the photos the children have brought in from home.
Thank you to those of you who have sent in snack money. We will put some of this towards ingredients for baking, as part of our topic on weight and measure.
