What a whirlwind of a week we have had in Class 2! It has been filled with brilliant learning, exciting adventures, and wonderful community celebrations from start to finish.
Earlier in the week, it was fantastic to welcome so many of you into school for our very first Parents’ Evening of the academic year. The children were bursting with pride as they showed you through their English and Maths books, sharing all the hard work, effort, and enthusiasm they have poured into their learning so far. It was a lovely opportunity to celebrate their wonderful progress together.
On Thursday, our long-awaited trip to Cannock Chase finally arrived, and what an unforgettable day out it was! The children loved exploring the great outdoors and taking their learning beyond the classroom. Be sure to pop over to the school gallery on our website to see all of our fantastic photos and find out more about what we got up to.
Thursday was also our Harvest Festival, and we spent a beautiful morning walking together to the church. Class 2 shone brightly as they performed their class acrostic poem with great confidence and expression, and everyone raised the roof singing our favourite Harvest songs. We were also very grateful to listen to a speaker from our local foodbank, who helped the children understand exactly where our food donations go and how our kindness helps support families in need across our community.
To top off such a memorable day, we returned to school to host our Macmillan Coffee Morning. The children were absolutely delighted to enjoy a delicious cake each while helping to raise money for such an important cause.
What a busy, brilliant week it has been! Class 2 have worked exceptionally hard and represented our school wonderfully in everything they have done. Have a restful, well-deserved weekend, and we look forward to another exciting week ahead.
