Following the Government’s move to Phase 2, the Delay Stage, the Trust has today put in further measures which
support the Government’s aim to slow the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19), in this country.

As a Trust, as mentioned in a previous letter, our aim is to keep all Trust schools open. We have to balance our
priorities and minimise the pressure on the system by supporting the Government’s aims.

Therefore, we will be limiting public gatherings in our schools in order to try and delay spread of the virus. Whilst
these measures may appear to some to be over-zealous, they are taken with all good intentions.

As a result of the current guidance, and the information we have, the following decisions have been made, taking
effect from today until further notice.

These are:

  • Achievement Worship/Assemblies are cancelled for parents, carers, and families to attend.
  • Mothering Sunday activities will not take place.
  • All community church services are cancelled.
  • Easter productions will be postponed, however the children will perform to their peers.
  • All PTA public gatherings are cancelled, e.g. Chocolate Bingo.
  • The Y3/4 performance at the Garrick Theatre is cancelled.

I am sure you will appreciate that even through these events are important, they are not essential to the day to day
education of the children. We all have a part to play in trying to limit the spread of Covid-19. It is with reluctance
that we have decided to impose these measures, and we ask that parents support us during these very uncertain
times.
