It has been a memorable start to our final half term of the academic year. Class 4 are well underway in rehearsing for our end of year production. We have rehearsed most scenes and shown off our dancing fit when learning the musical numbers.

In Mathematics we have begun our algebra topic by looking at function machines, substitution and forming formulae. It has certainly been a successful start with much of the apprehension overcome! In English, we have continued with Macbeth by looking at the story in more detail and an example newspaper report based on the three witches at the heath. As a class we made a shared plan for our own newspaper report that will be on the banquet Macbeth held to celebrate his Coronation.

In Art, we began our unit of oil pastels by learning different techniques: scrumbling, blending and feathering. In History, we started our exciting new unit based on the Maya which involved role playing the Spanish Conquistadors.

On Thursday we had our last Greenpower session with Dr Allen which consisted of doing the finishing touches on our goblin karts and ensuring our portfolios are as full as possible.
