Class 1 autumn 2 Week 4 2025

This week the children have listened to the Rainbow Fish. We talked about the importance of not being greedy and sharing our belongings with others. We talked about how this makes our friends happy. The children have enjoyed making 3D fish.

The children have continued to explore and experiment with colour. They enjoyed flicking paint onto a sheet and seeing what happened when the colours mixed. They mixed primary colours in bags and enjoyed this sensory exploration.

In maths the children looked at and talked about the properties of squares and  rectangles.
They have enjoyed drawing these shapes, sorting shapes and making squares and rectangles out of lego and lollipop sticks.

Next week we will be mainly focusing on the nativity play, however, we will continue learning our phonemes as well as practising our counting.

Please remember to put spare clothes in your child’s bag and label all items with their name.

We hope you have a lovely weekend!
