The first week of the Summer term has been full of learning and opportunities to enjoy sports.

Showing great creativity and confidence, Class 4 impressed by auditioning for parts in our annual class production: Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies.

In mathematics, we have begun a unit on algebra. Initially, we were using function machines, then forming expressions and on Friday, we explored substitution. It has been great to see how much progress each pupil has made since September which has meant that algebra seems no trouble at all.

We have enjoyed beginning Thief by Malorie Blackman. This is our new English text which we are currently delving deeper into the main characters of Lydia and Anne. This puts us in a great position for writing character descriptions next week.

In History, we have continue with our Crime and Punishment topic from the previous half term. Through investigating the different laws and consequences that were prevalent during the medieval times, we have been able to make justified comparisions to crime and punishment from different time periods such as the Anglo-Saxons.

Topic for Talk - to support our focus on oracy, below is a question linked to our learning this week to discuss with your child.
